Hands-on horticulture classes for grades K - 12 designed to enrich your homeschool curriculum and inspire lifelong learning.

At Garden Lyceum, our mission is to create immersive, hands-on learning experiences through thoughtfully designed horticultural curriculum. Drawing on over 20 years of expertise, we use living systems as dynamic teaching tools—inviting learners to explore, observe, and interact with the natural world. By engaging directly with plants, soil, and ecosystems, students gain a deeper understanding of nature while developing curiosity, critical thinking, and a lasting connection to the environment.

Through hands-on interaction with living systems, learners develop practical horticultural techniques alongside essential life skills. From problem-solving and observation to patience and responsibility, each lesson is designed to cultivate confidence and independence. By working directly with nature, students not only learn how to grow plants—they learn how to think critically, adapt, and care for the world around them.

Confidence grows naturally through experience. As learners engage with living systems and see the results of their care and effort, they develop a strong sense of accomplishment and self-trust. Each hands-on lesson encourages exploration, resilience, and a willingness to try, fail, and try again. By nurturing both plants and their own abilities, students build the confidence to take initiative, express ideas, and approach new challenges with curiosity and assurance.
